Losing Shoulder by shoulder tendons

You could not imagine losing your shoulder. Of course, there are people who still survive without an arm, but shoulders are intact. The shoulder is the most important part of the body, the most sophisticated, and bears the most complicated joints. The shoulder tendons are comparatively especial than your tendons in the knee and arm.

Why is it what happen to shoulder tendons ?

It is because your shoulder carries the widest range of motion that permits total rotational movement. You can even position your hand or arm at any angle. It is due to the synchronized undertaking of many working muscles that performs it altogether in set patterns that are necessary in order to create a movement. Likewise, our shoulder is compose of four joints and five linked bones that are related and thronged in unison. In order to allow unlimited motion, shoulder tendons are present.

Since the shoulder is uniquely jointed, it is also a fact that they are very vulnerable to many complex problems. It can be easily affected by injuries and overuse. We are taught during elementary or secondary years in school that our shoulder includes the bones and the joints, which compose the deepest layer in it. The next layer comprises the ligaments of the joints. The third layer is the shoulder tendons and the muscles. The last and external layer, which is located before the skin covering, is the nerves that supply all information to all the structure aforementioned to make them work.

As shoulder is considered the most motioned joint of our body, this capability also entails unstableness of the joint due to the wider range of movements it can execute. Now, in order to keep it stable, it must be well-anchored on the shoulder tendons, muscles and ligaments. Once tissues from the aforementioned anchorages disrupt, it will somehow result to injury, overuse or underuse. There are cases also that tissue may die or degenerate causing breakdowns and malfunctioning.

There are times when pain can suffered by the some part of the shoulder. It can be down the arm or in side portions. Shoulders can be affected by some diseases in organs suffered by the body, such as gallbladder, liver, heart, cervical spine or the neck. When illnesses to these parts attack, the tendency is that the pain will travel along the nerves towards your shoulder.

In order to diagnose shoulder problems, doctors look into the patient’s medical history, will consider physical exams, laboratory tests, X-ray, arthrogram, MRI or the magnetic resonance imaging, and many others. If the shoulder will get dislocated, a potent and full force to pull the shoulder outward or an extreme rotation of the joint until the ball of the humerus can be fastened back to the shoulder socket. Dislocation can happen if a person’s arm is unnoticeably pulled backward without preparation. Dislocations are painful to patients. Muscle spasm can even elevate the level of pain. As a result, swelling, numbness, losing strength, and bruising can be felt.
